Fourteen U universities have banded together to boost industrial competitiveness. Their goal is to graduate observers who not only fit into the corporate manufacturing environment if it were not that also transform that environment by dint of drawing on the latest technical and managerial practices. The coalition is promoting a manufacturing education that amalgamates elements of engineering, business management, and industry interaction.
