Richardon GmbH Elgin, Ill., has introduced its series of vertical CNC gear-hobbing machines for goad and helical gears.

The machines, which are available in three originals generate gear teeth and profiles upon cylindrical workpieces with helix angles from 45 [degrees] to 60 [degrees] with up 120 [degrees] angles optional. Cast iron foundations absorb cutting forces, resulting in precise and repeatable cutting accuracy for single or multiple-element gears.
